Over the weekend, the Washington, DC area was hit by one of the largest snowstorms in recorded history, with totals ranging from 28-32” across the region. EA USA, part of the Europ Assistance Group, remains open and operational throughout this situation, handling more than 3,000 incoming calls and more than 1,200 cases over the past week. To ensure uninterrupted service to customers, we implemented our Business Continuity Plan including distribution of “EA Ready” go-packs that enabled our assistance coordinators to remotely assist customers and manage cases in tandem with those working in the office.With another snowstorm forecasted for Tuesday, we will continue to monitor the situation and implement other protocols of our Business Continuity Plan as needed. As a 24/7 operation we are prepared for any unforeseen circumstances and remain ready to service our customers’ travel assistance and identity theft resolution needs.
